  62nd annual Rhododendron Festival at Roan Mountain State Park

The 62nd annual Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival will be Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22 at Roan Mountain State Park in the friendly, tiny village of Roan Mountain, Tennessee. Free demonstrations and entertainment will be featured in the park amphitheater all day both days. A variety of arts, crafts, food and drink will be available. Sponsored by the Roan Mountain Citizens Club, the festival is nationally known for featuring the world's largest natural rhododendron gardens that also happen to be a favorite stopping point along the Appalachian Trail when they achieve peak bloom each year in mid-June.
