Farm Arts Festival 2008 (Greenville, TN)

The 2007 Farm Arts Festival took place on OCTOBER 20 from Noon to 6pm at Rural Resources' Holley Creek Farm, 2870 Holley Creek Road.
Guests delighted in lots of live music and story telling with Joyce Carroll and Friends, Highway 11, JB and the Honeybeans, Tate's Chapel United Methodist Church Choir, and Farmer Spain & Friends' country music favorites while Rural Resources folks roasted a hog and goat the old fashioned way over a pit of hickory coals.
Tabernacle Presbyterian Church held one of their famous Fish Frys too! Other food included Vegetarian Bean Soup, Slaw salad, Cornbread, Potato Salad, and Baked Beans as well! Favorite fall deserts included caramel apples and homemade ice cream in a bag.
Other Farm Arts treats included: broom making, basket weaving, spinning, a quilt display, fall plants for sale, information on organic gardening, and more!
For kids, fun activities to celebrate the harvest season included face painting, bobbing for apples, pumpkin decorating, hay bale jumping,and other farm arts/crafts. Kids activities were led by artist, Wanda Rham.
The Farm Arts Festival was the start of our Soil to Table Community Food Project and provided transportation to residents from neighborhoods served by the Mobile Market to Rural Resources and back.
